The World Series of Poker is going on in full force at the Rio All-suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Plenty of Pokercode community members made the trip to the desert and chase the millions of dollars in prize pools.
Here are some of the biggest scores from the Pokercode community in the past month.
Going to the WSOP is for some the most natural thing to do every year, and for others it might be the opportunity of a lifetime. Pokercode community member Hannes Jeschka managed to get himself to Nevadan desert for particularly cheap after winning an $80 Road to WSOP tournament on Pokercode by GGPoker for a complete WSOP Main Event package.
Traveling to Las Vegas early paid off for Jeschka as he already ran deep on October 6th. He ultimately bowed out in 8th place of WSOP Event #8 $600 Deepstack for an impressive $36,243. GG and good luck in the Main Event, Hannes!
The last time we had the Original Grindhouse participants go to Vegas they came back with over $1,000,000 in tournament earnings in a week's time. This time they're taking it a bit slower but that doesn't mean they're not there to win.
Matthias Auer was the first one taking home a trophy winning a $1k in the Venetian for $118,000 but it didn't take long for Roland Rokita to catch up. Rokita had an interesting experience in the Venetian earlier in the year, but opted to crush at the Wynn this time around. Rokita claimed victory in the $1,100 NLH $200k GTD event for $87,341 a mere 4 days after Auer won his tournament.
We always cheer up seeing Pokercode community members do well, but this particular success came from a little bit of a different angle. Pokercode videographer Kevin Mild traveled to the Pokercode Festival location, Banco Casino in Bratislava, to participate in the €170 Banco Masters with €100,000 guaranteed. Instead of filming the final table at our own festival, he managed to play on the final table during this tournament, ending up in 4th place good for €5,480.
Community member 'Blimpedin' is joining all the others in Las Vegas and he found success in the Aria casino. After a 3-way chop in the $1,100 2-day event he exited the casino $40,000 richer.
Congratulations to all big winners! Join Pokercode and work on your game together with like-minded people and under the guidance of some of the world's most successful poker players.
