Pokercode Festival – Highlights of Banco Casino

With the inaugural Pokercode Festival set to run September 9-12 at Banco Casino in Bratislava, we found it important to provide the low-down on the casino we chose to host such a special occurrence.

• Hours: Open 24/7
• Games Offered: Live Poker (Tournaments and Cash Games), Slot machines and video terminals, Blackjack, American Roulette, Baccarat, and more
• Poker Games Spread: Daily tournaments (TBD during Pokercode Festival) and cash games as low as €1/€1 or €1/€2 on up to €2/€5 and even higher if there is enough demand.

• Dining: One primary dining option exists inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel, a restaurant named “Fresh” – there is also a bar and in-room dining service, and plenty more options are available within walking distance of the hotel.

• Distance from Hotel/Casino to Bratislava Airport: 15 minutes by taxi or Uber

Having played at Banco Casino several times, Pokercode Grindhouse member Matthias “Mattinho” Auer was kind enough to share his feelings on the casino as an overall venue:

“Regarding the casino I can only say good things. The staff overall is very kind & friendly, especially (Poker Room Manager) Suzana and (Marketing Manager) Jan. The location itself is (also) very good since it’s near Bratislava’s old town and within reach for any Austrian poker player, only about a one-hour drive from Vienna.”

Auer appears to be far from alone in his sentiment of the venue with the vast majority of online reviews also confirming the venue’s overall pleasantness to patronize.
