Gutshot

The term gutshot is used to describe a particular straight draw with one card in the middle missing, leaving the player with just four outs to complete their straight.

For example, if you have 78 and the flop is 45K, you have a gutshot straight draw because only a six can give you the straight. Another term used to describe a gutshot is the inside straight draw.

As far as poker draws go, gutshot is one of the worst draws you can have. The odds of completing the draw with just one card left are around 8.7%, while the odds of completing your gutshot from flop to river are about 16.5%.
