RTA

RTA is an abbreviation for Real-Time Assistance, which describes a group of complex software solutions designed to provide players with GTO poker solutions in real-time while playing at the tables.

Using RTA during live play is frowned upon and considered cheating, and it is thus prohibited at all reputable online poker sites, as well as many land-based poker rooms and casinos.

RTA software and apps give players GTO-based solutions for different scenarios, telling them what the optimal play is in every spot. This gives them an unfair advantage over players who play fair and rely on their knowledge of the game without using any outside resources.

The use of Real-Time Assistance has been a big problem in poker, and online operators have devised numerous measures to prevent and punish it, but it is an ongoing battle.
