Shove

The expression shove in poker has the same meaning as “all in,” i.e., it describes a situation in which the player bets their entire stack of chips.

Other terms that are synonyms of shove are push and jam. All these expressions describe the same thing.

You could come across the term “shove” in a casual poker conversation or during a commentary on a poker show. For example, someone might say that the button opened to 3x, and I decided to shove 18 bigs. The above sentence means that the player in the big blind decided to move all in over the raise from the button, putting their entire stack of 18 big blinds in the middle.
