Street

Street refers to a specific betting round and tells when the action takes place in any given hand.

There are four betting streets that you will play, which are as follows: preflop, flop, turn, and river.

After everyone has put up their blinds and seen their hole cards, the first round of betting begins, which is called the preflop. When all players have acted, and the last preflop bet is matched, the dealer reveals the first three community cards, which marks the beginning of flop street.

If the last bet on the flop is matched, the dealer shows the fourth community card and starts the turn street. Lastly, if the last bet on the turn is also matched, the dealer deals the last community card, and the river street starts.

River action can end when everyone apart from one player folds, or bets are matched again, and players go to the showdown.

Understanding different strategies and adjustments for various streets is essential, so make sure to study how your range equity changes on different boards and runouts.
