The wheel is the name of the lowest possible straight hand combination in poker, consisting of A 2 3 4, and 5.

For example, if you defend your big blind with A2 and the flop comes 5 4 3, you just hit a wheel. In this specific situation, you can still lose to a higher straight if your opponent holds 62 or 76.

Nevertheless, it is a strong hand in Texas Holdem that beats two pairs and trips, so you should be happy whenever you hit it. Depending on the board texture, you should usually play this holding fast and try to build the pot early in the hand.
