Community Crushers - April 2021

Milko van Winden
Head of Digital Media @ Pokercode

It’s been quite the wild ride in April with an amazing amount of tournament series going on with the biggest of them boasting a $150,000,000 guaranteed prize pool over at Pokercode by GGPoker during the GG Spring Festival.

It’s time to take a peek into the #Success-Celebration channel again to find some of the community crushers of the Pokercode community who put down some serious runs in the month featuring GGSF and of course, SCOOP.

Coaches Crushing High Rollers

For our coaches, it was a big month with a plethora of High Roller & Super High Roller tournaments going on. Matthias Eibinger managed to reach the final of the first $25,500 Five Million guaranteed Super High Roller of the GG Spring Festival with an incredible $1 million for the eventual champion. Matthias finished in 5th place cashing $343,000 to start off his series in the right manner. It took a little while for Matthias to win his first GGSF title, but he ended up winning event-91. Instead of Hold'em, the event Matthias was crowned champion in was a $5,300 PLO-NL event which earned him $127,000.

Fedor Holz was very close to winning a SCOOP title on the actual first day of the series on April 4th but failed to win the heads-up battle against his opponent ‘MAMOHT_T’. Luckily Fedor made Day 2 in the $10,300 High Roller and finished 2nd the next day as well, winning a combined $240,000. Fedor wasn’t able to get his hands on a SCOOP title this year, but he made sure Matthias wasn’t the only Pokercode coach with a GGSF title. Fedor won not only a side event, but also event-37 of the GG Spring Festival for another $170,000.

Mario's Insane SCOOP Win

By far the biggest score of April came from none other than Pokercode Grindhouse player Mario Mosboeck. After an insane 4-day run he managed to take down the $1,050 SCOOP Main Event for a career-defining score of $838,909. Read all about the tournament run on the Pokercode Blog and make sure to keep an eye out for an upcoming interview with the man himself.

It didn’t stop there for Mario. It technically happened in May, but it would be silly to just skip this score. If winning the SCOOP Main Event wasn’t enough for Mario, he decided to add in a WSOP Circuit ring to it by winning the $400 NLHE event for $129,700. Winning close to $1,000,000 in a week.
